Right, then. Flickr already has a group for London bombing photos. In happier recent times, there's also a huge group of Live8 photos.

The upcoming Brothers Grimm movie looks to be quite brilliant. Directed by Terry Gilliam, no less!

From Glenna: a very detailed astrological site. Mine told me I was destined to be a hermit. I think.

Dubai Land: where any dream you have can come true, apparently!

And finally, some cheerful bits to finish out a not very cheerful week:

Have a good and safe weekend, everyone. See you Monday.

Fuck, not again. Londonist is posting updates as they get them.

Update: A wikipedia page has also been set up and has a lot of information; Danny and Matt have also posted links to news sources in the comments. Many thanks, guys.

Congrats to London for winning the 2012 Olympics bid. Hope the tube will accommodate everyone!

Also, Battersea Power Station may be gone by 2012 to make way for commerce, so check it out while you can.

Closer to home, the Amazing Maze is gigantic and, well, amazing. We're going on vacation soon, and this may be a contender for a road trip.

For Bunny: the ultimate vacation would be the Space Hotel, with space-age design!

If you ever wondered what the NTSA does with all the stuff they confiscate during the interminable security checks in airports...well, they're all on eBay. No, seriously. If anyone sees my pocketknife, let me know, okay? (And does the idea of the government making money off this make anyone else mad?)

Maybe I don't want that knife back after all. Forget about the telltale heart; now there are telltale signs. Eeeeep. But rejoice! The FatalGrams are finally making their way online! Illustrated death scenes have never been so entertaining.

Photographic evidence of the weekend can be found on Flickr. A good time was had by all!

Today is sort of a catch-up day, so we're going retro-electro. iPods made out of wood! Cars made out of mousetraps! A tribute to Kraftwerk, including covers and samples! A chance to broadcast your own (short) message in real time to a monitor glued to a Brazilian wall!

And also, for the Star Wars fans: an explanation of what happened between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope. Who knew that Chewie and R2 were thinking so many steps ahead of the rest?
