Today: links from others! Thanks, everyone!

From the Graveworm: designer hearing aids, a new project by Christo, and the bizarre confusion that is Star Wars, Episode III: The Backstroke of the West.

From Holly: The Danes take on the Canadians via Google in a fight over an island. (Yes, really.) Also, how Tim Burton trained forty squirrels to work on a shelling assembly line.

And finally, OddBooks has another gem, this one by the not-very-logically-named Quark.

Have a spiffy weekend, everyone! See you Monday, or perhaps Tuesday - Monday morning's going to be a little crazy.

Behold Rex Libris! Man, this looks great. Why can't I work in a library like this?

And now, answers to random questions you may get in a library:

Yes, you can find out where the space shuttle is right this very second.

You want to know what that was on the side of the U-Haul truck? Sure, there's a whole bunch of information for each state.

You were so engrossed in the U-Haul art that you only caught a really weird road sign out of the corner of your eye? Here's a whole list of strange ones.

Looking for a wealth of science fiction material via an online broadcast? No problem! Hour 25 has just what you need!

Man, everything is happening this weekend. It turns out that the Route 127 Yard Sale is going on tomorrow through Monday. It's the best (and longest) yard sale ever!

If you're farther east, you can check out an exhibition on synaesthesia at the Smithsonian. Neat.

Combining the best of Google Maps with a love of the macabre, Code Syntax gives you a detailed look at who got gored where during the recent running of the bulls. Hee. More fun with maps: check out the full scoop on shark attacks worldwide. I had no idea sharks could make it so far north.

In Japan, harajuku is passe. Now it's all about the decorer kids, apparently. (The page is written in a sort of Engrish, be warned.)

And finally, we are venturing into the wild world of geocaching, but are struggling with our GPS skills. Anyone know of a good basic tutorial?

Okay, with the revamped Folderol design getting ready to debut and restarting the Steampunk Librarian blog and the general catching up from vacation all going on at once, things are going to be a little erratic here this week. But fear not! I bring you an Aztec calendar!

(Regular posting will resume soon, honest.)
