Today's links from others are brought to you by Zazoo. Thanks, Zaz!

Other links found around the interweb, mostly music-related for some reason:

  • Strawberry Field(s) was not just a Beatles song, it was the name of a Liverpool orphanage...which, sadly, closed its doors this month.
  • Alanis Morrissette is in town this weekend. For the anti-Alanis among us, try out the Alanis Delocator, inspired by the Starbucks Delocator I linked to a few months ago!
  • They Might Be Giants have a wiki now! It's called, perhaps not too surprisingly, This Might Be a Wiki. Hee.
  • And finally...stand by your statue. And try to imitate said statue while you're standing by it. And take a photo! This weblog is now on my list of daily reads.

Have a spiffy weekend, everyone. See you Monday!

Do you get the feeling that I'm just a little bit overwhelmed this week? You'd be right. By next week, I should be more together. Today, it's another bulleted list of links.

Tomorrow: links from others!

Today and tomorrow are going to be crazy busy, so it's time for a bulleted list once again. (Things here will eventually calm down a bit, honest.)

Photos coming soon as well!

Image of the Day

My photos from the Pride Parade yesterday will be going up on my Flickr page soon. In the meantime, enjoy this photo by Dawn! (That's me on the right. Hi.)

A high school senior prank is actually so cool that the school's going to keep it. This is much better than the "steal every "For Sale" sign in town and put it on the front lawn of the school" prank that my school would pull every year.

If you're still at school and bored, you could make paper starships. Bam! Zoom! Pow! Or maybe you could enter the Altoids tin contest. Or you could rent a puppet and confuse everyone. (The Puppeteers Cooperative, who rents the puppets, looks very cool in general.)

If you're not in school and are looking for an excursion, Grounds for Sculpture looks to be an interesting way to spend an afternoon.

Ever wonder where languages come from? Of course you have. And now you can find out!
