There are many sites out there deconstructing the stereotypical barriers that librarians have faced.
Are all librarians uptight, be-bunned ssshhhhhh-mongers?
Of course not.
Now I've worked in the public library system so I can say...yes, there are a few uptight squares out there....but there are also a lot  of cool, arty, gothy librarians hiding in between the cracks of mediocrity.

What is a Spooky Librarian?

* Is your very being/character deconstructing the librarian stereotype?
* Are you passionate about libraries without making them your entire existence?
* Would your colleagues describe you as  left of center? Slightly bent? A bit of a maverick?
* Do you prize your individuality in your less than conservative work attire?
* Do people gather around your cubicle/office/desk to gawk at your choice of decor?
* Are you a goth reference boi, punk-rock circulation grrl, an arty avant-garde cataloger or a unique breath of fresh air?

Are you a spooky librarian?    Rejoice, cavort, network!
Send us a pic and your name/alias, job title and website address and we'll immortalize you in the "Rogues Gallery"!
